The Starr Hill Biergarten recently opened in Tysons Corner at the Perch in Capital One Center. The Biergarten is the sixth taproom for the Starr Hill Brewery, which is one of the biggest independent and locally owned breweries here in Virginia. Charlottesville native Mark Thompson founded the Starr Hill Brewery in the fall of 1999 from a passion for live music and great beer. The brewery then opened its first satellite location, the Pilot Brewery & Side Stage, in Roanoke, in 2017. The next outpost, the Starr Hill Beer Hall & Rooftop, opened in 2019 in Richmond, and two new locations opened in Lynchburg, Virginia and Charlottesville, Virginia in 2020.

The Starr Hill Biergarten features plenty of delicious craft beers from the long-running brewery, including an India pale ale called Northern Lights, a wheat beer called The Love, a hazy IPA called Sonic Haze, a juicy IPA called Ramble On, and a raspberry American sour ale called Roxanne. There are also a few seasonal beers, including a session IPA called Grateful and an Oktoberfest lager known as Festie.
